Watch: Chris Mack previews Louisville’s trip to Virginia Tech

Louisville (13-5, 8-4 ACC) travels to No. 22 Virginia Tech (15-5, 9-4) for a Wednesday night contest that carries ACC and NCAA tournament implications. UofL head coach Chris Mack discussed the upcoming game with the media on Tuesday afternoon.

“I mean the games you play in March are a lot more meaningful when you put yourself in a position that both Virginia Tech has and we have,” Mack said. “You want to play for something, it’s what you work for all season, and all throughout the season. We have a young team, we try to educate them on what they’re playing for. But, it’s no bigger than just being able to execute those details that we talked about with Virginia Tech on the floor. And then the results, and how the results pan out in the larger context – different teams in the league seedings for the conference tournament –  that stuff will fall into place. We just have to worry about doing our best against a really good Virginia Tech.”

The Cardinals won the first meeting this season, defeating the Hokies 73-71 in the KFC Yum! Center in early January.
